Macomb Center for the Performing Arts: Hailed as a 鈥渇lawless commissioned portrait of Gertrude Stein,鈥 contemporary opera 27 explores the life of the literary expat, her relationship with Alice B. Mark Ridley鈥檚 Comedy Castle:听Detroit native and Second City veteran Rob Little had a successful career as an IBM programmer before leaving the tech world to start a stand-up career. Empty Bowls Detroit: With an intention to raise money and awareness for the Cass Community Social Services鈥 food programs, the fundraising event will include performances by Detroit musicians and samples of homemade soups, bread, cheese, and dessert.
