Hot Spot: Lockhart’s BBQ

2152

LOCKHART’S BBQ // They call it “real” brunch, and you may take that to mean down-to-earth and casual. Sunday brunch at a barbecue joint certainly isn’t going to consist of genteel little crêpes or other dainty morsels. When Lockhart’s added brunch to its schedule in December, it was something of a trial balloon, but it turned out to be a hit. Patrons are responding to the menu of smoked chicken and waffles, chicken-fried steak, smoked-sausage burritos, and pulled-pork frittatas, accompanied by the classic brunch beverages — mimosas and bloody Marys — and the not-so-classic craft beers.

202 E. Third St., Royal Oak; 248-584-4227, Brunch: 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sundays.
