For fans of Ferndale鈥檚 Voyager and Detroit鈥檚 Lovers Only, weekday mornings are getting听a bit brighter. Restaurateur Eli Boyer, and chefs Jennifer Jackson and Justin Tootla, the trio behind the eateries, are opening their third concept spot, , this December. Situated off the side of听Lovers Only that faces Grand River Avenue, the breakfast walk-up window will be open at 8 a.m. from Monday to Friday for those who are looking to grab a quick yet hearty meal before the sun rises.The Capitol Hill site will offer a dense breakfast menu, including sandwiches like the Little Debbie, which packs corned beef hash and eggs onto grilled slices of听rye bread. Their Bodega听layers fried bologna, eggs, and cheese with mustard on an onion kaiser roll while the听Stay Golden features sprouts, avocado, onion, feta hummus, and eggs on a seedy bun.
The group focused on using Ingredients, like eggs and breakfast meats, that are sourced from local farmers and purveyors. A selection of their baked goods, including Jenn鈥檚 biscuits, will be made in-house and sweet and savory grain bowls, as well as听, are slated for the bill of fare.
鈥淲e鈥檙e energized to bring this little idea to life, as it鈥檒l serve the downtown market nicely,鈥澨鼴oyer says. 鈥淭he walk-up window was going to be used as an extension of Lovers Only, but we realized that quick, easy, delicious hot breakfast was something the area was missing. Jenn and Justin have put together an incredible lineup of breakfast sandwiches that will cater to a wide variety of tastes, from healthy to gluttonous and straightforward to whimsical. We鈥檙e really looking forward to serving our community every morning.鈥
Iggy鈥檚 Eggies is yet another recent addition to the trio鈥檚 list of hotspots; Voyager, opened in March of 2017, gained a foodie following before being named one of 香港六合彩图库资料 & Wine鈥檚 Best Restaurants of the Year, this past April.
