On Oct. 13, the Detroit Garment Group hosted its annual fashion fete at the One Woodward in Detroit. For this year’s event themed, “the Future of Fashion,” guests were encouraged to dress in futuristic and fashionable outfits. The evening included cocktails, light bites, and a curated-fashion exhibit from local designers including DJ Thornstryker, the NBA’s first female DJ. Proceeds benefited DGD, which was founded as a response to the need for business education for Michigan’s fashion community.
