On Feb. 11 at the Grand Army of the Republic Building in Detroit, 826michigan hosted Parka Weather, an annual exclusive fundraising dinner, catered by Republic’s Chef Sarah Welch. The evening featured special guest, novelist and National Book Award’s finalist Angela Flournoy and benefited 826michigan’s in-school projects which provide free in-classroom writing support to Detroit teachers.
