Wayne State University appoints first woman president
The Detroit university鈥檚 board of governors听. Espy, who currently serves as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs with the University of Texas at San Antonio, is the first woman to hold the position and will officially take over the role on Aug. 1.

Greektown receives $20M redevelopment grant
听to help the community completely redesign Monroe Street, which runs through the entertainment district. The redesign will turn Monroe Street into a 鈥減edestrian-first walkable street鈥 by leveling the road and eliminating curbs. It will also see the addition of new bollards, trees, planters, and street furniture. The budget is awaiting Gov. Whitmer鈥檚 approval.

Detroit Tigers and Upper Deck Golf team up on golf event at Comerica Park
