Editorial intern Megan McDonald just thought her night job as a restaurant hostess would have little to do with her journalism degree from Western Michigan University. During her time at Hour Media, Megan has also learned the joys of fact-checking phone numbers and websites, assisted on fashion photo shoots, and written for various publications, including Metro Detroit Bride and DBusiness.

Editorial director Steve Wilke always enjoys working on Menu Guide, but particularly liked this year鈥檚 鈥淭aste Tour鈥 of the region鈥檚 ethnic eateries. He learned how to prepare Rouladen and other German delicacies by watching his 鈥淥ma鈥 (grandmother) cook, and also received a few choice hints on Lebanese fare from a neighbor when he lived in Dearborn. But he still can鈥檛 flip an egg to save his life 鈥 and still tends to overcook pork dishes.
