// MISSION
Mercy Education Project serves low-income women and girls in Detroit because educated women uplift communities and create opportunities to change the cycles of poverty. We鈥檝e empowered women and girls through education since 1992.
// KEY SERVICES PROVIDED
Our Women鈥檚 program provides adult basic education courses, GED preparation and college-and-career readiness training. Since 2009, 96% of women who completed MEP鈥檚 GED program passed the GED. Nearly 80% of our GED graduates go on to higher education, specialized job training and/or gainful employment.
Our Girls鈥 program offers one-on-one academic tutoring, college-and-career readiness workshops, ACT/SAT test preparation, robotics leagues, college campus tours, and STEAM enrichment activities. Annually, 100% of our high school seniors are accepted to one or more colleges of their choosing!
