What are common questions that new customers ask you?
A lot of people say, 鈥淚 haven鈥檛 smoked weed since the 鈥70s. What do you recommend?鈥 And that鈥檚 a loaded question because cannabis now is different. Back in the day, you鈥檇 get some Mexican dirt weed or some Maui Wowie 鈥 it wasn鈥檛 great. If you鈥檙e buying from the legal market, that鈥檚 what鈥檚 important.
What are people asking for?
Now, some people are coming in to get rid of anxiety; some are looking for pain management. The [most frequent request] we get is [for a strain that assists with] sleep. We have a gummy by a company called Wana mixed with THC and CBD for sleep, and it鈥檚 phenomenal. It鈥檚 amazing how many people have problems with sleep.
When it comes to cannabis, there is no dumb or bad question because this is a new legal industry. It doesn鈥檛 hurt to come in and ask questions. You don鈥檛 have to buy anything. Come in, browse, ask questions, and say hello. Learn about cannabis and see if it can help you.
How do you think the stigma around cannabis has changed over the years?
The stigma has completely changed. When you鈥檙e smoking weed in public per se, you still get that 鈥淥h man, I鈥檓 smoking weed 鈥 I鈥檓 going to get arrested鈥 thought. But then, your brain goes, 鈥榃ait, it鈥檚 legal.鈥 The stigma鈥檚 dropping so fast 鈥 there
are so many ways to consume it instead of smoking that I think more and more people are trying it. I think in the next 20 to 30 years you鈥檙e going to see cannabis overtake alcohol.
What advice would you give to anyone who would like to try cannabis but doesn鈥檛 know where to start?
