Emmy-nominated actor, Sam Richardson, is best known for his roles in hit series like听Ted Lasso, Detroiters听and the much-anticipated,听Hocus Pocus 2,听but once upon a time he was a kid growing up in Detroit.
Here, he talks about what he loves most about his hometown including his favorite bar, meal and what area he鈥檇 live in if he were to ever move back.
What鈥檚 Your Favorite Bar When You鈥檙e Back in Town?
Sam Richardson: I will go to [in Hamtramck]. My friend Tia Fletcher opened that bar. It feels like my bar, you know? But the bar that feels like one I grew up in 鈥 which is a weird thing to say 鈥 is 7 Brothers, which closed back in 2016. 叠耻尘产辞鈥檚 is like a cousin to that bar 鈥 it has that same kind of feel.
What鈥檚 Your Go-To Meal in Detroit
Richardson: I鈥檒l get a grilled chicken with the three-cheese blend that鈥檚 all melted at . That鈥檚 a must. From the airport, I鈥檒l go right to 翱濒驳补鈥檚. It seems corny to say a Coney, but for real, I鈥檇 love a Coney, too.
If you moved back, what neighborhood would you call home?
Richardson: . That鈥檚 where I grew up. I鈥檇 get a house there and make it nice. My family is in now, which is also very nice, but there鈥檚 a nostalgia for me in Boston-Edison. That鈥檚 where it would be for me.
